Women's Abortion Clinic, Medical Abortion Pill, Family Planning in Orange County
Her Choice Women's Clinic is a community abortion center that provides low cost, affordable women's reproductive health care for the women of Southern California, located in Santa Ana, Orange County.
Our primary focus is to provide affordable and safe family planning options and make access to abortion clinics easy and confidential. We offer surgical abortion as well as the medical abortion pill (ru-486, mifeprex). In addition, we also offer birth control, family planning, and general gynecology care for non pregnant patients, by providing Pap smear screening, sexually transmitted (STD) screening and treatment, and treatment of menstrual abnormalities.
Our goal is to improve access for family planning and termination options for pregnant women that desire them in a safe, supportive, sensitive, and compassionate manner. We are here to help with an unplanned pregnancy in whichever manner possible. We provide information regarding the risks and benefits of each option, and allow the pregnant patient to decide what is the best choice for her in a non-judgemental way. We will provide the information, so she can make an informed decision. For the patient that chooses pregnancy termination, we provide surgical Dilation and Curettage as well as the abortion pill (ru486, mifeprex).
If you have an undesired pregnancy, have questions that need to be answered before proceeding with ending a pregnancy, or are unsure what resources are available to help you with these difficult times, then call us or come in for help. Remember that confidentiality is our top concern, and we aim to provide your care in as confidential a manner as possible.
Having an unplanned or crisis pregnancy can be a very difficult and confusing time. The decision to come to us is never an easy one. However, we believe that every woman has the right to privacy, dignity, and access to safe and legal abortion services when faced with the decision to proceed with terminating a pregnancy, whether by surgical dilation and curettage or by the medical option (ru486, mifepristone, mifeprex).
Orange County Clinic: Medical Abortion Pill
If a pregnancy is early enough in its first trimester, then an alternative to surgical D and C is the medication (ru486, mifepristone, mifeprex). There are pros and cons to the pill compared to the surgical procedure, and one method is not always better than the other. Choosing one over the other needs to be tailored to the individual's needs and expectations. These needs and concerns will be addressed by our physician during the visit. Having the medical pill available means that those that qualify for it can be better served.
We usually welcome walk-in patients without an appointment, and although we make every effort possible to accommodate our walk-in patients, we cannot guarantee that you will be seen that day. Usually it is not possible to be seen that day if you walk in without calling first. It is therefore best to call and make an appointment.
